Finally made M8x1.25 standard shift knob adapters for Gen III Prius...

    Making these were tougher than I thought. I used 8.8 hardened medium carbon steel M8 bolts.

    Machining, boring and taping them for the standard M6x1.0 thread needed the Prius Gen III shifter required special high performance carbide, cobalt and other special tools. Even then, it took ALL day just to make a few of them.

    The $103 delivered for one of the adapters shipped from Japan is outrageously expensive. I made them as a self challenge and probably NOT be making any more. They have to be hardened and tempered for durability.

    The photo shows a Prius "c" shift knob mounted as a sample.
