Wow, this could go so sideways, so fast! Did you have this on the car at TORC? If so no wonder you one first place!

Seems you like to go over the top! Can you go any bigger on the tailpipe?

Wasn't at TORC, I wish on everything I was but my car isn't ready anyways. I am still waiting on wheels and bags.
Sideways? Yeah no, Never got TOO into the drift bug, did a little with my old truck but eh...
Lol, exhaust tip is ONLY, (lol) 3.5 inch. same size as was on my xB. Something fun
Yeah a little bit. full stereo, intake, axle back with "boso" tip. still need some more tweaks here and there.

Hate what a Prius stands for in most folks mind, so comically done up or not my little c is here to be one of the coolest around (i know it'll be quite tame compared to a liberty walk or what have you but hey it's still my main mode of transport)

It'll never be fast but that's fine, I like 40-70 mpg on the regular, if I need fast I'll hop on a motorbike...

So, does the shifter take a standard Toyota knob? I was looking at a pure leather one from a Camry. Looks like it would fit.

If it's a newer automatic Toyota then yes. Regular prius takes a smaller one, manual Toyota's take a larger one.

I often troll eBay for information, ideas for new projects and finds. I am NOT the seller of this item.

I purchased this $7.99 (delivered) shift knob off of eBay on Friday and got it on Monday.

Universal Screw on Aluminum Blue Shift Knob Manual Transmission M T Short Shift | eBay

Since it stated in the description that it was designed for a 5/16 or 3/8 shifter shaft, I thought that I'd have to modify it with a Heli-coil or a custom machine insert for a Toyota automatic shifter that has an M8x1.25 thread.

To my surprise, I found that the hole was machined in three steps with M12x1.50 , M10x1.50 and M8x1.25 internal threads with the M8 at the deepest point. Therefore, no machining or adapter is needed.

This knob is ideal for Prius"c" in that it is blue to match the start-stop button.

It is 1-1/2 inches in diameter an about 2 inches long polished and anodized aluminum. The knurled section provides a very nice grip for the thumb, index and middle finger of your hand.

And, you can't beat less than $8 delivered.

The thread size of the Prius"c" shaft is M8x1.25.

All Toyota automatics with a gate shifter , except Prius and Lexus "electronic" shifter hybrids like the "v", Gen III and Gen III, will use the same M8x1.25 threaded shift knob and shaft.

I just opened a thread featuring an $8 (delivered) blue anodized billet aluminum shift knob that will fit the Prius"c."

NICE FIND! $8 (delivered) blue anodized billet aluminum shift knob perfect for Prius"c" | PriusChat

I talked this guy on eBay into making a custom Chicago Cubs shift knob and a gift for my neighbor, who owns a RAV 4.

Chicago Cubs 3D Style Pool Ball Shifter Knob for All Toyota Automatics 2008 Up | eBay

The same knob will fit on a Prius"c." Nice thing is that he can make it with many custom logos for under $30 delivered.

Probably a standard 10mm thread. You can make anything into a shift knob.

I was thinking about an orange pool ball, but haven't gotten around to it. Maybe an inert grenade?

Nice knob on a Prius"c." It takes a M8x1.25 thread.

While it is inexpensive when it comes to materials, it is more complicated than most think.

The maker had to invest in a special custom purpose made holding fixture that securely holds the ball in an accurately aligned position whil it is held and tapped.

He or she had to make an sell a sizeable quantity of them, before the cost is recouped.

On the Gen III Prius, the 2-1/4 inch standard ball would be too large. "Mini" pool balls would appear to be more appropriate. The Prius Gen III uses an M6x1.0 thread.

The mini-pool blls would be about the same size as the very expensive TOM's.

The TOM's is made of Duracon, which is basically Delrin acetal copolymer or polyoxymethylene (POM.)

Pool balls are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Think Dacron polyester, Mylar, water bottles and polyester clothing. Also think very durable and impact resistance, if it is used in billard balls.

Most OEM shift knobs are made of ABS, which does not even come close in durability compared to the durabiliy of POM or PET.

A good retail price delivered would be about $25, when TOM's wants $65 and up.

The weak point is that the threads are in the plastic on the TOM's. Adding a stainless Heli-Coil would greatly increase its durability.

Just a quick note. Standard pool balls without any kind of color protection fade really quickly.
