Oh man, I like the look of the front emblem. Great job!

    Thanx!! :)

I cheated and removed the badges before I sprayed them. No peeling or over spray, just wait for them to dry and remount.

Later next week, I should get a chance to break out the heat gun and remove the sides and last two rear badges to finish the project. (y)
But then again, I've had a steering wheel cover and rear hatch cargo LED's on my desk for over a month.

I much prefer the subdued look of the white badge over the stock chrome.

Living up a two mile dirt road in the mountains, the last couple of days of rain left the rear of the car too dirty/muddy to post an image of the rear badge. :cautious:

I probably will remove and spray the other badges also. I don't like the peeling after spraying on the car. Cleaner look for sure. That Pearlizer spray is amazing. Thank you Plastidip!!

I watched too many youtube videos where everyone used the peel away method to remove the overspray. Most left behind a rough and jagged edge around the badges and emblems. I did see one video where they used a toothpick to score the edges, while the plastidip was still wet, that seemed to leave a much cleaner edge.

At least the Gen2 2004-2009... that's where they hide the front tow hook. Makes a convenient way of mounting the front license plate without drilling into the bumper...for those states/providences that require a front plate.

For the Gen3, you can even get DRL LED lights that fit in those pop outs. You guys get all the cool stuff..we Gen2 owners gotta make our own. Lol

Yea I had seen someone recently with the little square leds in those spots on the gen 3....black tow hook would probably look pretty good with my look though haha. Wonder if the ones u posted earlier will screw into the gen 3 if that's in fact is what's behind the covers on the gen 3

Here are the ones I see..

Not today, but last week I got back my JDM LED headlights where I got them wrapped with Xpel paint protection film. This is after I got them restored to near mint condition. I also wrapped the fog lights and turn signal LED's with Xpel paint protection film. I don't like rock chips.

11/23/14: Took the Prius out to the California Speedway (Roval)

My top speed on the oval was a little over 10o mph! Still other cars were passing me by like I was standing still - even with the pedal to the metal:eek: At 4:44 it was time to use my secret weapon....hahahaha!

The Prius was not the slowest nor the fastest in my group, but i had a heck of a good time!
