If so, you may want to check legality in your neck of Whereverstan.

Your foglights would be considered auxiliary lights, so that law does not apply. However, I'm sure there is a law against using only auxiliary lights as your primary light source as well. ;)

Maybe use xliderider's mod to convert your high beams into yellow headlights at a reduced power and use that with the fogs?

Not sure how that would work on a G2.... we only have 1 bulb BI-Xenon for both Low Beam and Hi Beam.

As far as I'm aware - they do make bi-xenon bulbs - but not dual kelvin rating (3000k & 4300k). I mean i have the 9006 3000k HID fogs bulbs already and I know they make a 3000k & 4300k HID D4R bulb for my G2 headlamp, but I wouldn't be able to toggle between white light 4300k (normal night driving) and foggy driving with the 3000k out of the same headlight assembly. What toggles my hi - low beam is a shield w/ a solenoid - 1 bulb. Its not foggy all the time so normal white 4300k is most optimal for that - a dual capability with two different bulbs would be most optimal like the G3 have - not the G2.

Which is why i have 3000k fogs and 6000k (prob not the most optimal kelvin rating) headlights.

My fog lights tend to project close to the car where the headlights are further out - are you saying that that the 4300k lights negate the 3000k foglights?

In foggy conditions, the headlights would beam higher into the fog and create a lot of glare back at the driver.

ah gotcha. So unless i'm finding a way to add 3000k bulbs into the headlight assembly along with the normal 4300k bulb - i'm not legal in CA to drive w/ only my fogs on. :(

I didn't know you had a G2, but I think what Air_Boss meant is convert your white headlights into yellow, as I believe it's legal to drive with yellow headlights.

Sorry to take this thread on a turn away from the original Topic of some cool looking foglights:

In CA it is, chkd with the CA DMV. But I'd like to have both 3000k for those foggy times... and 4300k for regular driving.

Have thought about the 3000k D4R bulb for the headlights but its only foggy in the mornings and rarely rains - the rest pretty clear and pitch black - optimal for the 4300k bulbs. Just like the option of both - thought i was doing that with the 3000k HID fogs and the 4300k headlamps...but its not legal to drive with only the fogs on unless they are 22" from the ground even as your primary lighting source in the OEM location unless i was running around like so...

You can always upgrade to the G3 but I like the idea of a monster Prius better.

Nokya no longer makes them… At least that's what I was told.

After a year and half of dealing with them, and returning two defective sets. They told Tuners Depot just to refund my money, that they weren't going to make anymore. :(

    So I went these.
