    Doug, regarding education.
The best education for people is knowing someone with the vehicle.
If you sell it nationwide, you will start the ball rolling on that education.

Tesla finds their sales don't grow fastest in areas they open a Store, their fastest growth is in areas where they open a Service Center.

Let your customers do your marketing for you, people love plugins!

I'm sure its an uphill slog, but you need to talk to the customers that want the cars, and not the dealers that don't want to sell them. This forum is probably a good place to start for positive plug in stories. I'm sure you have some dealers like Diane Witmore that seems to be able to sell plug-ins well, have the other dealers )out of state) learn from her.

I would say that corporate pr, seems awfully anti-plug-in so I can't blame the dealers alone. How about a couple of pro prius phv press releases like a roll out to 5 more states. The last word we had on the prius phv was a delay 'till the end of 2016 for the next gen, the one before was cancellation of a national roll out. Sure you sell in what 5 of the top 10 states, but they are all carb states, and I think you only have 2 of the top 5 (california and washington). Get the ball rolling a little, and that should add 10%-20% to sales with hardly any effort.

I would have gladly bought a plug-in prius if they had them available in Wisconsin. There was a used one, but I didn't want to pay nearly $25k for a 2012 when a new one would have been only slightly more after the tax credit. I did consider buying out of state, but ultimately felt it would be too much of a hassle, and didn't want to pay extra for shipping it either.

While I like my prius, but my next car is going to have some kind of plug-in capability. I'd rather stick with Toyota, but if they refuse to release the gen 2 PiP nationwide, I'm going for the next-gen Volt, Leaf, or Tesla Model 3 instead.

Kind of makes me remember on those few occasions - cold weather climate, when the sewer line freezes up and all of a sudden the turds float across the bathroom floor.

I doubt that bisco, they are mainly going to lease these suckers in southern california, and when was the last time it froze there for more than a few hours. We have a US estimate of 3000 cars in the next 37 months, with maybe a handful or two leased outside of california. As a yardstick, in october ford sold 63,803 f-series trucks, tesla 1300 model S, I think the odds of you hearing about a problem toyota fcv are really low as there will be so few.

I am sure that switch is so that it doesn't pee all over the garage, you can dump it before you pull in. They are advertising it like a "feature" because they really don't have much else.

I would be shocked if more than 300 cars (10%) were leased or sold outside of California if Toyota doesn't simply give them away for free.

Oh cool! Like when someone gets on your bumper in 10 degree weather, you can just purge the water with one button?

    . . . or plumbing from the driver/passenger seat.

The best suggestion, adjust the windshield washer jet high so it can throw some over the top. Then put a little ammonia glass cleaner and some yellow food coloring . . .

A nice summary of the fuel-cell, PowerPoint engineering and press-releases: Fuel Cell : Breaking News, Photos, & Videos - Green Car Reports

Sorry, I'm laughing too hard and my cheeks hurt. But there was one brief moment of sanity:
By then we should have working fusion power plants using helium-3 gathered from the moon by our Orion transported moon-miners. Then we can manufacture all the fuel-cell hydrogen needed.
