By the way, you can now build and find them on the Lexus website. $45,000 to $50,000 is too rich for my blood, especially given the disappointing mileage and 0-60 time. I'm sure it's a nice car though.

Interesting pricepoint when prices get to MSRP.

Why not shots of the trunk area? Looks quite small so perhaps that why?

The look is a little too chiseled for my taste.

Trunk size is about the same as an RX, the NX is just a tad smaller then the RX. The sportier look of the NX has caught my attention! :D

I own a RX and doubted that based on how it looked visually.... looking it up confirms it along with a few reviews I read.

NX has 15 cf vs 40cf on RX. With seats down 54 vs 80.

That's pretty small considering the Prius has 21cf!

Numbers may indicate that it is smaller then the RX, but when looking at it in real life it seems like more then enough space for daily life.

No offense but "daily life" is different for everyone.. to me, 15cf is small for an SUV. Again, my Prius is 21 cf.. with this supposing to be a "Utility" vehicle..

Well for $10,000 less, I guess you get less space, I can live with that. It will appeal to the young with no children......its just sportier.

There doesn't seem to be a standard for calculating cargo area with the seats up. Sometimes they include the space above the tonneau cover, sometimes they don't.

In the Prius' case, it's 21 cu. ft. to the roof with the seats up, it's 15 cu. ft. under the tonneau cover (that's how Toyota Canada lists the cargo capacity for the 3G). It makes sense since the Prius visually looks smaller than our 2002 Camry which boasted 16 cu. ft.

With the seats down, I think it's more consistent (floor to ceiling height x width x depth).

The way I see it, it's $10k-$15k more than Prius.. though it's an SUV, I don't see it as one.

Well then you need to sit in one. It is the hottest SUV available IMOAlso the NX feels similar to the new RC. By the way, the NX is also available as a hybrid, or AWD if you so wish to go that route.

To each their own.. Luxurious Rav 4 with small trunk. I think a good comparison would be like the Prius and CT.. Prius wins in my book too.. Obviously I have nothing against Lexus since I own one.

As a Toyota owner, Lexus owner, and biggest fan for Toyota Motors/Lexus I can say the RAV4 is nice, but can't compare to any Lexus product in terms of style and richness in materials.

I am pretty sure the NX is not based on the RAV4 platform. I had the NX parked next to the RX, and you would be surprised that their size difference is not that substantial.

I like the sporty look of it over the rather conservative looking RX. I will be considering the NX for my next vehicle purchase.

I looked at the mpg rating for the AWD hybrid. For that price... dang. The Outback can do a lot more for cheaper. And gets way better highway mileage.

    Guess this is another poser-mobile.

Re: weight, it seems like a lot of it is size. Its very similar to the X3 (rather than X1) in ext dimensions, weight and price. The BMW is considerably quicker, but rated 21/28, 24 mpg combined. 33 mpg combined seems like a decent improvement. The diesel X3 is closer matched in acceleration, and rated 27/34, 30mpg combined.

Not a vehicle I'm interested in, but could do well in its class.

This is the Luxury CUV class since this car is based off the Rav4. I still think I bought a better Rav4 iteration Toyota do not want to sell you.

I guess what I am getting at is, more of more vehicles cars are designed to fill a specific niche. This CUV category is pretty vague, and some many of these new niche vehicles fall in there.. from a Honda Pilot to a Subaru Forester to a Lexus RX. That's why I mention urban SUV..

Wow... you consider a RX and Pilot in "Cute Utility Vehicle" class? Wonder if you consider an H3 a CUV too? :D

I thought RX/Highlander and Pilot/MDX are like the X5 or ML type size of SUV class, not CUV class.

I am not, I am quoting. Crossover (automobile) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Point was just CUV category is vague.. I am saying the opposite in fact.
