2010 Prius IV: Suggestions with Price To buy from Toyota Dealer

    It is Prius II model , 126 K model, 2 previous owners, clean carfax,
    It is also listed on TrueCar website and is $ 10894.
    Exact same car same VIN is listed with dealer for $10000.

    kbb is showing it at $9,600. in my area, i don't know how atlanta compares.

    One thing to keep in mind, and the reason I bought new, to get a used one with sub-50K miles in my area I was looking at $16-$17K.

    The price difference between that and new just seemed to not be that big at that point, especially when you take into consideration that new includes a warranty, color/package of your choice, and rebates or 0% APR.

    I was able to finance a new 2015 Prius with 20 miles on the odometer for $23K OTD (including TT&L), financed for 60 mo @ 0% APR. It's hard to beat that with a used Prius... At least in Tulsa.

    Also, if $23K is too rich, don't forget about the Prius C!

    Reduced Price : Priced $ 8994 by dealer. I sent email to them and asked if can be negotiated, the Sales Rep said, No, Not Negotiable.

    I am first time Prius buyer.
    Two previous owner
    Owner 1 Rental: Use 1 yr , ~ 36 K miles driven
    Owner 2: ~ 19 K miles/yr
    No accidents, Carfax clean history.

    EVERYTHING is negotiable. I'm not sure how far away you are from this dealer, but if it's reasonable go and negotiate in person. They'll have a harder time playing that "not negotiable" BS if you're their in person. Don't forget that sales price isn't everything, you can negotiate to have them include extended warranties, pay TT&L, or even to tent the windows or throw in oil changes.

    Get creative and you can easily get the price of the vehicle down.

    There are like 25 Toyota dealers within 100 miles of metro ATL. Figure out what you want to buy and do an email campaign and include all of them. See http://www.fightingchance.com for details on how to do this.
