inverter coolant level dropping no visable leak

    just noticed my level is about an inch below the full mark, it was fine at the last oil change, no leaks that I can see....nothing on the ground, any ideas?

    also where can I buy the pink kool aid besides the dealer they said $32 a gallon ....can I just add water?

    Buy the "Pink Cool Aid" (Toyota type super long life Coolant). A Gallon lasts a long time. Drain and refill your tranny fluid (Toyota type WS) and have a several ounce sample analyzed (I use R&G labs - about $25) to see if coolant is getting into the ATF (hopefully not).

    Further, look at the inverter coolant pump and associated hoses, located behind the driver's headlight assembly, for any signs of a pinkish or whitish deposit which would be evidence of a coolant leak. Then, raise up the front of the car on jack stands. With a trouble light or flashlight, get under the car, and look very carefully at the transaxle, the coolant hoses, and the radiator for evidence of a leak.

    If the coolant level continues to decline after you've filled the inverter reservoir to the full mark, you will need to have the car evaluated at your local Toyota dealer.

    Mine did the same after the inverter pump recall. topped off and never happened again.

    Maybe toyota can help you top off on next visit. It's not worth buying a gallon to top off 6 oz

    Made by Zerex, it is called 'asian.' About ~$14 a gallon

    the pump was changed months ago and I just noticed it was lower...Ill top it off with distilled water and check for leakage merged

    I Would change it.
    The dealer does not replace the fluid with the pump TSB.
    They just clamp the hoses off.

    Unlike engine coolant its a very easy DIY.
    And if in Florida the coolant takes a beating.
