Name them. Otherwise I call hot air and bluster.

Well, I am not sure how this has gotten to 'hot air and bluster'... I felt like it was a courtesy to leave updates rather than take people's advice and skip off. Perhaps you know better as a senior member - I won't leave any more updates. However, I will most definitely name then just as soon as they no longer have my property in their possession, I'll even draw you a map. Watch this space.

Got the car back, they fixed the rim - looks like new - and the tire is the correct tire. All the hassle was a real drag and I don't get the sense this is an isolated incident based on what I saw when I was there. Anyway, avoid this place:

They finally came through, and then you out them? I can see, with all the BS along the way, though.

I think mechanics as a group have a very cavalier attitude towards rims. We got in a T-bone accident with a previous vehicle, one rim got pretty chewed. The shop machined it, cleaned it up good, but managed to damage the pop-on cover, looked like they dropped tools on it, left it lying around on the floor or something. Frustrating.
