Anyone experience louder tire noise fater 15k service? It sounds like snow tires or wheel bearings. Tires do not look like they are out of balance or alignment. OEM tires.
Also with sharp u-turns there is a rubbing noise. Are these the "rubber mount stop" making these noises?

If you had it serviced somewhere, take it back and tell them to make it right.

If you did it yourself, could it be that you had different spec tires on front and rear and they are now rubbing after tire rotation?

Possible if you had significant or uneven wear on the rears you are now hearing that on the front.

You can't see/tell if your tires/wheels are out of alignment/balance by looking at them. Do you drive on poorly maintained, rough roads?

The noise when making a sharp U turn might be your ABS system pulsing the brakes because the wheels are turning at different speeds in the sharp turn.

Thanks all. I took it back to the dealer that did the 15k service. They found a problem with the right rear wheel bearings and replaced it. Glad it was done before my 16 hour trip

Wow! A 2014 Prius develops bad wheel bearings! I would be inclined to get all your bearing checked to see if a bad lot was used?
