Lowered the front license plate...

Since CA won't let me remove it altogether... :cautious:

Picked these bad boys up. One of my dream wheels if you must even if they are 11 year old wheels.. 2004 sti forged bbs 15.5 pounds a rim. Comes mounted with Michelin piolot super sports already haha, pretty sure these sticky tires aren't so good on milage though..lol but who's counting? :] 20150125_152929.jpg

What if there is no place to mount the front license plate? CA still requires it, so you'd have to drill holes and mount it? Or can you zip tie it? Because I'm soon coming to CA with my prius and I want to do a front license plate delete ;)

Ca requires a front license plate, it's a ticketable offense here. o_O

As long as you have one mounted with zip ties, duct tape or bolts to the front, it's all good.

On the dash won't let you pass GO and collect $200 either...

It's so they can use the cameras installed on intersections and toll plazas to ticket red light runners, speeders, etc.

You can take your chances and delete it, but all it takes is 1 bored CHP below his/her quota for the month... :sneaky:

...and for me, it's not worth the time and effort to get a ticket signed off and presented to the courts. With my luck, it would happen in some random rural town on the other side of the state.

Haha thanks for the good info. May be worth it just doing it and using maybe some zip ties and take it off for a car meet or show. We have the same dumb rule out here in Hawaii but you can't even zip tie out here for the really strict safety inspections they do. Have to be bolted secured to the front bumper.

Texas is the same way. we used to be able to get by with it in the windshield but they changed it so that no longer applied. But most cops here dont care too much, my dads truck had no front plate for 5 uears after he bought it before getting a ticket for it.

I feel the same way with window tints. My BMW M3 had 15% all around and had no issues in NJ. But now in IL, sort of scared to pull the trigger for my prius. Law is 35% here.

Footwell LED's changed from amber to white... ;)

These are available in red, blue, purple or white, from Share Style on the Rakuten Global Market.

It was much cheaper to purchase from Share Style and pay the shipping from Japan(1 week shipping time), than to order from my local Toyota or Lexus dealer...

thanks @Rude person's for the sweet adapter and TRD leather knob! Exactly what I wanted. Something small, low to the base, and subtle style. Kept blue stickies in glove compartment, didn't want to put them on.

low profile adapter, just what I was looking for.

Spotlight makes it look so clean. might dip the silver ring around he base. I haven't decided.

@Starbrand looks good man! If you decide to paint that I reccomend you use the krylon fusion satin black paint it is made for plastic materials and would look real nice on that I think. It's a more permanent solution then plasti dip but may look better, maybe dip it then if you like it black use that? (y) Small mods are sometimes the best!
