Will this work for the Wifi ELM327 for IOS?
The site looks legit and they are located in California (so says their Contact Us page).
The product looks well built and the price is not really cheap ($35) compared to most on Amazon and eBay.

    Thanks,
    Alan

Has anyone used this wifi obd2 part? It seems to be the cheapest one on Amazon that is fulfilled by Amazon (so 2 day free shipping for Prime customers).

I just found this site and need to change my reverse and seat belt beeps to 1 beep (vs the continuous beeps that are very annoying). I also just signed up for the IOS beta? Is Carista free for the IOS beta testers or is it still $20? Is there any specific version required for the wireless version (like the bluetooth ones that need to be ver1.4)?

Or there is also this part that is fulfilled by Amazon for slightly higher price, so if anyone has tested this one let me know.

Didn't get any replies so I ended up ordering the 2nd part (the iKKEGOL one). I'll have in Monday so should be able to report back how it works with the iphone.

OK, so I plugged in the OBD2 wireless device and went in under my settings / wireless on the phone and it sees the OBD wireless network and I connect to it. Then I go into Carista and click customize and it spins for ~30 seconds and I get the error "cannot connect to your Wifi OBDII device". The lights on the OBD2 device are toggling and changing color during this 30 second period, so what next?

Is anyone else on this thread testing the IOS beta? I've sent 2 emails to support at Carista and haven't gotten any replies to the emails or to my posts on this thread???? Is anyone else testing and getting responses back?

I have the Wifi ELM327 module and it wouldn't connect to my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8 either. It could get into my navi's diagnostic menu but that's all it did.

OK finally got an email from Carista support. They are uploading a new beta that will allow IOS beta users to send an error report from the app so they can get more data to debug this. Hopefully they will get that posted soon and let us know.

Right after I sent the above I got an email that the new beta is available, so those testing IOS need to update via Testflight and there should be a new icon in the app to send the error report data to Carista support.

Did the Carista update tonight and got things to work for the most part. If I tried to hit configure in Carista first I'd get the error where it couldn't connect to the OBD2 model. Then I tried hitting find faults first and it took about 3 minutes to finally come up, but eventually it did. Then I went back and hit configure and for some reason it connects now and the different options came up (still takes about 2 minutes to fully connect). Anyways I got most of my settings updated (some minor issues I emailed Carista about).

Also note that if you have issues and want to hit the report error button to upload the error info you will need to go into settings and disconnect from the wifi (or you iphone will try to be sending the error report to the OBD2 module). Hope this works info helps the other IOS users who can't connect to get things working.

Can anyone confirm how many beeps they are getting after turning off the seat belt beep (with either the bluetooth or the wifi version). I turned mine off but am still getting 4-5 beeps. This is still better than the continuous ones, but I thought I remember reading through threads regarding this issue and the beeps supposedly went completely away (ie. 0 beeps vs 4-5 beeps)?????

Looks like it should work, although their page doesn't say anything about which version of ELM327 they support. But my guess would be that it's fine.

Does the iPhone not connect to the ELM327 device's wifi network at all, or does it connect fine, but then Carista fails to communicate with it? If it's the former, then I guess the device is bad (or may need custom static IP address configuration or something). If it's the latter, please open Carista, try to connect, and when it fails, use the "Report a problem" button on the error message to send us a report. As jcg12345 warned, you need to disconnect from the device's wifi network in order to have an internet connection when sending the report (or when making a "fake" beta purchase for that matter).

Thanks for your help with debugging. Your report helped us uncover a bug in the app that causes intermittent failures in the communication (due to interference from other normal communication that's going on in the car). The latest beta update from yesterday (beta 005) does not fix that issue, but the next one will... and I'll email you and ask you for feedback at that time.

For everyone else: so far, pretty much all WiFi devices that our users have tried seem to work fine (except for this report by WolfpackBill above). So I'd say just look at reviews on Amazon and pick the device and seller with the best reviews.

About the seat belt beeps: we have a setting to turn them on or off and in some cars, turning them "off" means that there are still a small number of beeps left. If you guys post feedback about what's possible on various models, we'll take that into account and update the app to support more options if the cars actually allow that.

Todor, I just wanted to say, Thanks! I was able to get rid of that annoying back up beep and also check codes on my Rav4 with the Carista App.

I finally got my Wifi ELM327 (the one I posted) and it works great.
It takes a while to read codes, but the customization screen is pretty fast.
There are a ton of customizable settings.
In my opinion the IOS UI looks a little plain though, but it gets the job done.
    Thanks Carista app!

This is great news that now Iphone users can do this. I just went to the dealer this weekend and they gave me the runaround.

Just so I am clear and maybe Todor can chime in. I have an Iphone6. If I buy this,

then I purchase the Carista app.? when will the app be available or could I be another beta tester?

Thanks. Been watching it forever but it was always for Andriod. After my latest disaster with the dealer I thought I would check back in. Glad IOS is ready.

    Hi everyone,

I just used the Carista app yesterday on my 2015 Toyota Prius (regular hatchback model).

Everything appeared to work fine. I disabled some of the annoying warnings with success.

Unfortunately today when I tried to roll down my windows, I discovered a few things:

    1) All 4 windows have the "auto" feature where a single tap is supposed to roll them down fully or roll them up fully. Unfortunately that feature is no longer working on any of the windows.

    2) On the driver's side, there are 4 windows switches. Only the switch that controls the driver's side window is operational, the other 3 are "dead". (Note: The single switches at each individual window are still operational, albeit with the "auto" feature no longer working.)

I just emailed Carista with my problems. I made no adjustments to the window controls, nor were any presented to me.

Worth noting, is that in the 2015 Toyota Prius manual the ability to adjust the behavior of the one touch window function is mentioned as a dealer adjustable feature.

I'm concerned that the Carista code database might not be "perfect" for the 2015 Prius and a register value has now been over written to an incorrect value.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Does anyone have a complete listing of the 2015 Toyota Prius ODB2 codes they could share a link to?

Thanks everyone for your help in advance.

    Cheers!

    Greg
