I think you got one hell of a deal. If it was well taken care of you should expect at least another 100K miles out of it and maybe much much more.

Yea thanks for the advice. The owner was so nice and sent me a text this morning saying to let her know when I got the insurance switched over. She said she'll add or change to my email address for access to all the maintenance records and she'll put me in touch with the mechanic she used who was really honest an she always checked to make sure his quotes/work was good.

She also said she'll miss the car and to take good care of the car and let her know if anything came up and that I'll enjoy it for my needs (surfing etc.).

I feel good knowing I bought it from an honest person. The black 07 prius with 109k and the bad title history had a really shady seller. The 04 black prius I saw yesterday had a really bipolar or looney seller and there were 6 owners. He sent me several texts early evening saying I was "full of s^&t for not buying the car"

I think the prius was a right buy for my needs. I liked the way this one felt.

I drive to work 13 miles each way and 26 miles round trip but I live in North County San Diego. I bought a house one year ago in this suburb part of Carlsbad to build a future with my ex girlfriend but we broke up a month ago and I've felt lost. The city of San Diego and further south was home for 7 years prior to that but I didn't go down as much since I had a 93 Chevy Astro van which guzzled gas.

I feel like mentally, I can make trips down to San Diego more now without thinking of the gas costs, and I can surf some of my favorite spots in the winter months which are closer to San Diego.

If I'm on top of the car, I think it will serve my needs quite well and I get to experience a hybrid in the process. I didn't like most other 2007 and newer cars I've seen and this one has fold down seats and good length for my surfboards.

I also feel like I'd be more willing to make a trip to Palomar Mountain which is an hour away or to surf further away spots in the summer. This should get me out of my shell a bit more so I can go back to being more adventurous and to get me out of my house which has been hard to live in alone recently.

The car is helping me more mentally than anything else. I know my daily commute to work isn't very big but it will get me to feel less stuck at home (especially when gas was near $4/gallon)

I lost track a bit--too many cars flipping back & forth.

Is this the Magnetic Gray? Nice color & a bit hard to find. If it is "fully loaded" it has leather and nav.

She did (or will) turn over two key fobs & the socket if it has wheel locks?

May you have many happy years with the car.

Welcome to the 2007 Prius club! I just bought mine on Tuesday with 151,000 miles. Your price seemed to be on the lower end of the going prices. I use Car gurus to let me know if I'm in ballpark for any given car. I have two sons that own 2007 Prius One son surfs. He reclines the front seat to get his surfboard inside. I'm just in favor of using less gas to get places, even less than my motorcycle. Sounds like you had a pleasant private sale. I had made an offer on mine back in December and although the dealer negotiated, I wasn't going above my offer. One month later, he let it go for my offer of $4100 (has Rebuilt Salvage title). Let hope we have safe and reliable riding in our 2007 Prius!!

Hi yes it is the magnetic grey one, fully loaded with leather and nav. She gave me two fobs and the wheel locks. I think it's going to work out great. I drove my 53 Chevy hot rod today for a little while and can still honestly say I like the Prius I got.

Oh will do. I live on the San Marcos/Carlsbad line off Rancho Santa Fe Rd and Melrose (quote close to vista) and commute to Solana Beach for work each day, but often want to go way down to Ocean Beach and Sunset Cliffs (where I used to live for a while) to surf.

When I find out the mechanic's name I will let you know. She told me he is located in Mira Mesa so not too far at all.
