Engine knocking... what the dealer said!

    Although the Toyota Regions in the US have stopped him from selling Toyota Extended Warranties via phone/internet, he can sell to anyone "in person" if you choose to make the drive. I talked to him about this. Last I heard his prices were the most reasonable ...anywhere. Some members here will try to talk you out of buying the extended warranty, but as you have found out personally...crap happens. Give him a call and see what he says.

    You have to tell us the truth.. You did a turbo conversation to your Pip admit it lol....

    No seriously the only way you can crack a piston is by putting to much boost...

    Did they open the old engine ? Or they just assume that BS...

    Not the ONLY way.
    There is casting faults and foreign objects like pieces of valves or spark plugs or things coming loose from the intake throat.
    All extremely unlikely but not impossible.

    You are right... The most common I know is boost...experienced it myself...the car was running but on three cylinders..

    Turbo lol. nah what they wrote is that due to the faulty exhaust valve, piston one has a hole! i looked at the service advisor and said a HOLE? really lol

    Thanks Frodoz, i will try calling him monday first thing. Thanks for the advice

    I m mechanic
    I got the car witch Is nicking all the time ,i changed plugs coiles manifold egr injectors throttle body
    But didn't worked yet
    So it's mean defenetly some thing wrong in the engine
    So tmrw going to open head to see the valve and pistons
