Cargo Light Fuse

    Does anyone know where I could find the fuse for the rear cargo light. I some how managed to short out the bulb during the course of replacing it with a faulty LED bulb. Original bulb now does not work also. I tried looking in the owner's manual in pages 404 - 409 but no where do they mention it. All other interior lights works. Could there be a relay timer involved also?

    I am a Prius c user from Taiwan.

    A friend of mine had same problem when he replaced interior lights with LED bulbs.
    Toyota service shop told him "Main Body ECU" malfunction, no spare parts in Taiwan,
    need to order a new one from Japan...

    Another friend had same problem too.
    But the technician just bypass the protecting circuit.
    And add a new fuse for cargo light. No need to replace "ECU".

    How was it bypassed? "...add a new fuse." You mean add a fuse to the light?

    HELP!! I'd like to get this resolved.

    This is a common problem that has been discussed before and it apparently involves more than replacing the fuse. I'm sorry I don't remember the thread or the solution, but I do know that it's important to unplug the cargo light prior to replacing the bulb (LED or standard) or you risk having the issue you are experiencing. In fact my 2012 C's cargo light housing has a sticker on it with this warning. I may be wrong, but I believe I read about this somewhere in the "audio and electronics" section. All the best, hope it's nothing serious.
