I made a short (<30 min) video that shows step by step how to clean the throttle plate and install a new air filter on a 2006 Toyota Prius.
All you need is a chopstick, a cotton swab, a piece of tape, some acetone or cleaning solvent, a flashlight and a new air filter element.
This preventive maintenance can fix or help avoid having trouble with the internal combustion engine not starting due to oil build up on the throttle plate.

OP, while I do appreciate your thorough video, I would not recommend this method.

    1) You may damage the MAF sensor with that stick
Taking off the air cleaner housing is simple in order to gain access to the throttle body and it takes the MAF out of the equation.

    2) I would not use brake cleaner instead of throttle body cleaner; I may be wrong there, but why risk it?

    3) if that Q-tip falls off that stick, it will be inside the engine
I would clean the throttle body with a rag that is large enough that there is no risk that it would fall into the throttle body.

Can you do it this way? Sure. But I wouldn't recommend it. Unnecessarily risky.

Here's how I clean the throttle body. I remove the air filter box, Turn the throttle knob, and place an extension in to hold it open. I then spray inside the open throttle body with throttle body cleaner and wipe with a clean rag. Here's a pic.
