    1. Hello all, I'm trading my 2010 Prius II for a 2010 Prius V w/ATP in mint condition. The II has 39K on it and the V has 97K on it. Since it's a Toyota, I'm not too concerned about the higher mileage except for the HV Battery. My question is, can I just swap the HV batteries? Are they Plug and Play? Or are they serialized and need to be programmed to the Prius it's going into? I'm not too concerned about the warranties. Thanks!

Good question. I'm paying $12,700 cash for the 2010 V, which is almost the same as what CarMax and Webuyanycar has offered for the 2010 II. A trade in a sense I guess, but not trading in. I should have been more clear.

gotcha, anyway, it's just plug and play, no differences in the same generation.

I'd be interested to see some photos and a write-up describing the experience.

Sure Dylan. I plan on doing it probably next weekend. I hope the battery can be moved by two people since I don't have access to a hoist.

Was the II orig purchased in DE? If orig purchased in NJ or MD it would have 150k miles warranty over there.

sounds like 2 non-CARB states so OK...DE is actually new member of CARB but DE does not get the 150k extended full CARB warranty

I tried to start swapping the batteries last weekend. The 20 degree temps were causing the plastic clips to break that held the interior trim down so I aborted the swap for now.

I went ahead and swapped the battery assemblies today. It took about 2 hours and I did take pictures to post later. My issue is, that all the dash lights are on and the "Check Hybrid System" warning is on in both cars. Both cars will not go into gear and the engine will not start. Both batteries are displayed at 6 bars. I've tried disconnecting both the Aux battery and the service plug but to no avail. Any ideas?

Are you completing the service plug installation fully by sliding the clip to the right?..
