Well I am new to this site and Prius/Prius "C" group.

Im coming from an 2004 VW Golf TDI 43MPG 223,000(and counting). Its getting old and used.

I Pre-Ordered the Prius C Three, Tangerine Splash Pearl, 15" Aluminium Wheels, Window Tint, Black/Blue Interior.

It will be nice to finally have a car that is up to date with technology(BlueTooth, Pandora, Other technology).
Also LED Headlights Factory. :) (Maybe .00019% better MPG) Lol

It will be interesting to see what type of MPG I get as I do about 70%-75% Highway and 30%-25% City. Both numbers are still better than what im getting now. If I did my math right about 48.1 MPG.

Let me know if I should know anything about the Prius C; Good and Bad.

    Regards. :)

your MPG will be in low 40s for 1st 100mi or so; then it will start climbing up. "C" pre- and post-break-in seems to differ more than any car I've owned new. Also "C" seems to be more sensitive to low temps, MPG drops more than standard Prius.

What to expect? Hard to tell w/o knowing which part of the country you live in, current temps and speed limit. On mostly hwy drive yesterday (speeds ~60) ~100mi round trip avg was 50.4MPG. It was lower mid-40 in the morning with temp 34F, and got better in afternoon when it warmed up to 46F. When it was in 60s on Sat, MPG got up to low 60s on mostly 40-60MPH drive. This is on 2.5 week old car.

Don't block the vent under the left rear seat (behind the driver's seat) - there's a fan in there to keep the battery cool, and a cool battery is a healthy battery. If you have a pet that sheds, you'll eventually need to clean it out.

    That's probably the key thing.

Ya, ive seen this in other posts, Im actually thinking of putting some type of Air Filter there to help keep it pristine in side there. Anyone know of someone doing this? Thanks for the tip. :)

I haven't looked specifically but as I recall from taking off plastics and installing seat covers, you could cut one out of home furnace-A/C filter and either glue, rubber band or zip-tie it.

Congrats! I have mine in the original orange called Habanero. I have yet to see the new orange in person. Was told it is more yellow this time around. Did you order it do to the color, or they just did not have many on the lot?

I got it because of the color. My motorcycle is also orange("Blazing Orange" to be exact).
To me, your Habanero is kindove peachy, and this Tangerine Splash Pearl is is more of an Orange(well Tangerine), but Not as vibrant(Orangey/Neonish) as my motorcycle. As if they took the saturation out of the Orange a little. {EDIT: I put my helmet next to the car and the car is more of a yellow orange.} I cant wait to see it in the sun as it has metallic in the paint. I should look awesome though.

Funny I got other yellow (sun fusion) for the same reason - love yellow on bike.
Beware that cops will see you, but some drivers still not.
    And congrats on purchase!

Looking at front from this angle and it doesn't look too bad... Black retroactive tape would look good on black part of the bumper

be exceedingly careful abut adding a filter to the battery cool fan inlet. in fact, unless you enlarge the area of the inlet at least double it may impede air flow enough to starve cooling air. the screen that's there isn't particularly low in restricting air flow so adding a filter might not help.
the best thing is making sure the air flow inlet isn't covered in any way and the front is cleaned regularly with a vacuum. I have a wire basket blocking the area around it; it has to be removed for anyone to sit there.but it ensures theres nothing blocking the inlet like a coat.
