Mark, on my work computer (have not checked how things look on my home computer yet), I have an ancient Pentium computer but a fairly new and very large monitor (30" I think). Resolution is set to the maximum - 1360 X 768. I am using Internet Explorer 8 (no choice on my part). Before the software changes, this problem did not exist.

Hmm, I'm on a machine with a 30" screen right now and just set the screen resolution to 1360x768 from 2560x1440 and it still displays ok. I'm by far no expert in this though so unfortunately I can't offer a fix for you. Maybe others or Danny will have more input.

No overlap on a Chromebook either.

I will say though that the poster information takes up a lot of space. This results in short posts having a lot of white space until the following post. Not the end of the world to be sure, but not aesthetic or functional.

I use the spacebar to scroll down, shift-spacebar to scroll up

Thanks, Danny...I like the new look-and-feel a lot. And I really like the post-by-post scrolling...saves my mouse button finger.

Definitely sounds like an IE8 problem. Let me try a couple things and I'll post again once I'm done so that I can get your feedback.

I don't disagree with this, @SageBrush. Still working on it to make it more functional. I wanted to highlight the avatars while presenting the other data in a more aesthetic way. So far I've failed.

@Tideland Prius, thanks for pointing that out about the post scroller. I'll see if I can figure that out.

Yes the avitar is real big on IE8 on XP, you can go to Firefox or presumably Chrome.

Unfortunately, I have no choice on my work computer. I do not have the ability to use a different browser. If I did, I would use Chrome, which is what I use at home.

Didn't check if this has been addressed already but I just wanted to let you know I couldn't login to PriusChat using my usual password for some reason so I had PriusChat email me a temporary new one. Well it won't let me change the password once I'm in.

Yes, I agree exactly. That did not occur until the recent revisions. The huge fonts for titles waste a lot of screen space, as do the larger white spaces.

Learned something new! I did not know about the shift+spacebar shortcut. Thanks!

The post-scroller feature at the top jumps exactly from post to post.

All the web browsers I use work this way. It is not site specific.

It has actually become something of an annoyance for me, because my fingers are so used to the behavior I get unexpected results in other programs ;)

The pictures / avatars look fine on my home computer using Chrome. So it is definitely related to IE8.

surprise of all surprises - it finally works! And no, I don't mean just side loaded. It's actually working without having to monkey with it. I had all but given up on tap a talk. Yet, here I am ... A tappin' and a talkin'. Good job. Here's to hoping the next down time will be a little shorter.

@Danny the post scroll looks to be fixed now. It stays where it should be from the top to the bottom of the page.

If you hover your cursor over it, a box will pop up to tell you it means that member is currently on line.

Perhaps we're looking at two different places! Here are screenshots from the New Posts screen; the first one is when it loads and the second one after I scroll down one notch. The main menu bar remains at the top of the screen but the "Mark Forums Read" line immediately disappears.

I believe Jon was referring to the post navigation (the "19 OUT OF 19") that you see at the top that allows you to skip through posts easily. I believe you're referring to the navigation submenu. I'll see about making that sticky. Or at least pop back up when you start to scroll up.
