I think it did albeit minimal. I "feel" that most of the noise is not coming across the hood but down the front side of the vehicle. Wind noise wasn't my primary concern doing this though but my CF application on the hood.

I finished sound dampening on the rear doors today.
In total for the four front and rear doors, I used 5 sq ft of of Dynamat and Stinger Roadkill dampening material, about 19 linear ft of Frost King, half a roll of foil tape, a lot of my time and a few nicked/cut fingers and scraped knuckles.

Because the rear doors have zero dampening material from the factory, I could have used a little more material, maybe another .5 to 1 more sq ft between the two of them. But, I made do with the material I had on hand and am pleased with the results.

Results... About 4 lbs total weight added to the PIP. All four doors sound solid when you tap on them, they close with the same "thunk" as my MBZ. My unscientific before/after road noise test using an android sound meter running on my cell phone that was sitting on the passenger seat while driving the same stretch of concrete freeway at ~65ish mph... before was 89db max and after was 86db max. The crappy stock speakers seem to sound better too, although that could be a placebo effect.

Comparing Dynamat Xtreme and Stinger Roadkill, the temperature was in the 80's and I let both materials sit in the sun before cutting and applying them. Dynamat's butyl adhesive is more firm (less sticky until you press it in place) than the butyl on the Stinger. Stinger is also slightly thicker and heavier, and I think the aluminum on the Stinger is also slightly thicker.

Rear door with the vapor barrier removed and surfaces cleaned up, ready for me to get busy

Peeking inside the echo chamber AKA rear door, zero dampening from the factory

Yellow boxes are roughly where I put dampening material on the outer door skins. Minimalist but it achieved the results I was looking for while adding less than 4 lbs of weight to the car

I reused the thinsolate material from the factory vapor barrier, attaching it onto the Frost King with foil tape
