19900.00 and change for a 2015 Prius 2 at the Toyota dealer in Waterford Michigan. That's about 5300.00 under msrp. Best price I've seen.

We went to their website, but the best price on special was 22,500 for a 2015 Prius 2. Where did you see the price of 19,900 and was it older stock with some miles on it? Any help would be appreciated.

Saw it on Autotrader, called the dealership they said they would honor the price. They gave me an out the door number of 21400 and change. It was a new 2015, Silver with 3 miles. 248-333-3300 is the local number for that dealership.

    Wow that's a great deal!!

Some places that advertise exceptionally low prices are known to tack on "fees" after you start the paperwork though so be Leary until you are sitting down at the dealership and have solid numbers from the sales mgr.

Has happened to me a few times, even with emailed offers. Oh well.

I now have a toyota dealership that I have bought and traded 4 cars at and they treat me great before and after the sale.

Just picked up a four for just over 24,000, plus the 0% for 60 months. Agreed that the two is the best deal out there, as they are both running around $5K below sticker :)

    2014 or 2015?

They gave you that big of a discount and the 0%? What was MSRP. Sounds like a great deal..

I just bought the last leftover 2014 v three on the lot and it was either an extra 2k off for the march incentive for the 2014's or 1k off plus the 0% apr. That would be ontop of the dealership discount of 2.5k. A lot smaller dealership discount and incentive which was half the above for the 2015's. Now it's april so not sure of the new incentives.

I wanted to purchase like I did with my Persona (I got the 0.9% for 60 last fall a few days before they announced 0% for all new Pri! Go figure) the wife convinced me to go for the lease offer for her v. It was a no brainer at that point after running the numbers.

It's a 2015 Liftback Four. 5K off MSRP. Between the low gas prices, Hybrid Accords finally getting shipped in volume and discounted, no major changes to the Prius liftback since 2012, and Toyota's decision to push Gen IV to 2016, it is shaping up as a good time to buy (for people like me who don't mind that their new car looks essentially the same as a six-year-old '10 Gen 3 purchased in 2009!)

By the way, the 2015 Liftback Two is an even better deal than the 2014 because the 2015 Two comes with a backup camera (the 2014 did not).

Wow. Seriously you got a great deal! What state? Congrats :) And yes all 2015's come with the backup cam. I can agree it's nice to have and I would not want a car w/o it but if getting a 2014 saves you over 1-2k over buying a 2015, I'd still get the 2014 if any are avail as my local audio/tint shop can install a backup can for a couple hundred....granted I bought a three v so have the cam as standard...

Is your new liftback four your first prius? Sunroof package? How do you like it thus far? They are awesome cars ain't they!!

Rhode Island. No sunroof package - but it has the power Softex seats and the JBL version of the 6.1" audio/nav system. Awesome cars, but I'm still getting used to the split-window rear view .

Thats awesome! Good stuff. Softex is great, I have it on my Persona..

FYI- I keep hearing good things about the Broadway 300mm rearview mirrors, I keep meaning to order one and I will soon. Def something to look into.. cheap and they improve rear visibility..

Those mirrors sure are cheap - definitely worth trying with the Persona. With the Four, though, it would block out the autodimming mirror, so I plan to just get familiar with the stock visibility over time.

Before buying Prius, I can recall looking at the back window of others on the road, thinking negative thoughts. Having driven ours for over 4 years now, I'm still not used to it. The broad band of blank in the middle of the rear view does make it hard to process what's back there. It can be done, but it takes longer, is not as intuitive. I find I rely on the side mirrors more.

That is true, I forgot about that. I guess just try to center the stock rear view mirror as much as possible and do your best of trying to look out the main bigger rear window. I have the habit as everyone should of shoulder checking even after checking my rear view mirror. Its a good habit and unfortunately lots of people don't do it, let alone signal their intention… I'm a motorcycle rider and thats one of my pet peeves, with good reason...

Yes, if you like getting a 'new old' car cause in 9 months it's going to be outclassed by the next generation model.

Yea, I didn't mind though. I wouldn't want the first year model for the Gen 4, so I'd be waiting another possibly 2 years. I love my new Prius. :)

using that logic, when would you decide not to buy a gen III, once the IV had been announced?

I don't quite understand the question?

Regardless of when it is announced, I still don't want the first year model of any redesign. So I'd have to wait for the 2017's.
