I asked @Accordlayingkit about how his is holding up after reading his build thread, and he used vinyl on the inside and outside and he said he had no issues. image.jpg
It's kinda like a Harley logo...lol, but I think I'm gonna put vinyl on the outside, silicon the hole inside and out a big piece of vinyl on the inside. Then put the roof spoiler over it and you won't see it.

    How about a Datsun logo?

In either case, that's not a shape you're going to find a plug for in the average hardware store.

image.jpg Today I bought a brand new leftover (last one on the lot) gen 3 Prius v three in sky blue for my wife to replace her rav4 :)

We are now a 100% Pri family. Lol.

Edit: it is actually called "clear sky" not sky blue...

I just realized I don't have HID Xenons anymore... Talk about brown headlights! I guess I just added something to my list of things to get for my Camry Hybrid. Too bad I didn't think about removing the ones from the Prius beforehand since they're the same bulb!

I drove to Ikea with my wife today then to another town to meet up with friends for dinner. Drove close to 200 miles and used only a little less than a quarter tank of gas. (y)

Took the wife's Jeep to get the front windows tinted yesterday. We've been talking about doing it for a long time and I guess yesterday was the day. Looks MUCH better now.

Today was about installing my G's headlights.

    10368e.png

    I got these on buyee.jp.

I expected this project to take a couple of hours. I spent nearly all day on it.

    empty-socket.png gs-socket.png 20150321_120424.jpg

This was my second round with this project. Last weekend I hit a wall because the adapter harness that the vendor provided wasn't sufficient to install HIDs in a car that didn't already have HIDs. Thanks to @sfv41901 who turned me on to The Retrofit Source (theretrofitsource.com) where I got the relays and wiring I needed for the G's HIDs.

    Look at that.
All that cash and all that work -- TOTALLY WORTH IT!
    Here's a before & after shot.

Now that I don't have a turn signal in my headlight unit the heat is on to get those signal mirrors installed.

I've never been able to bring myself to "pimp" a ride...too much $$$ for something the won't last, but I can see why people do it.

That's Awesome! I intend to add this to the stock insulation on the inside panels (doors, rear body trims, underseat, etc) at $11 for a 2x16x48" roll so around 4-5 of this should be fine.
That's Awesome! I intend to add sustainable recycled jeans insulation from my local hardware store which is much like the stock patches onto the panels on the interior(doors, rear body, underseat, etc) at $11 for a 2x16x48" roll so around 4-5 of this should be fine. Sorry won't let me upload the image but will try again later.

This proves you can do some Prius modding AND still have a family.
