Installed these yesterday. They are 16x6.5 with Michelin 205-50 premier a/s tires. These are one of the lighter 16 inch wheels out there at 12.8 lbs. they are made in Japan. I have tanabe nf210 springs. My son helped and is in the pic.

Looks awesome, great improvement! Please keep us posted on any changes on your MPG.
Also, love the rear bumper, how did you add the black accent?

I am thinking the mileage is going to go down, but I'll check back in with an update after a couple tanks. The rear bumper is just platsti-dip. It's holding up well. I also did the front center piece of the grill, which is not doing as well lots of small pits from bugs.

Here is the front end treatment I hope to do on my 2012 this summer. Similar to yours, but given what you have said about pits, believe I will for sure paint it. Also have plans for the back: I think I will try modifying and using a plastic insert panel from the 2010 Toyota Matrix S, if I can manage and afford it. I have already started buying Kosei K5R wheels (one at a time), already bought Tanabe NF210 springs and a Whiteline rear sway bar- all will be installed this summer.

I like your design. Are you getting 15 or 17" K5R wheels? Those will look great.

I want a rear sway as well but need to finish my sound deadening and stereo install before I spend more money.

Any report on your mileage after your wheel/tire setup?
I see that wheel is the lightest 16" from Tirerack for the C.
    Great price and look nice!

How does the setup feel when driving on highway? More stable?

Any reason you chose 205 series tire instead of 195 stock?

Gas mileage is down about 5%. It handles better on the road and it soaks up bumps better as well. Stock on my c was 175/65. I wanted a tire that was wider. Also the 205/50 was a closer match to stock diameter. I went a little too wide though. There is some rubbing against the inner fender at full steering lock.

hey I was wondering if you installed TPMS on your new rims?
I'm thinking of ordering a set w/o them...

I did order tpms. I waffled back and forth but got them in the end. Also the tires I got are LRR. I'd recommend sticking with a LRR tire or you may see a bigger drop in gas mileage.

Interesting fact, the steering rack and tie rod ends are different for Prius c that come with 195 tires. Found this when I was checking for possible adjustments to eliminate the rubbing.

Maybe the wheel offset is too deep, a spacer to rid of the inner fender rubbing?

Decided to stick with the stock diameter of 15." Less problems and lighter wheel weight. The Kosei K5R are just 11.8 lbs each. Stock-like 40mm offset. I dislike torque steer, so tried to stay close to stock in offset. If they are still too far in, I can always install spacers, though I'd much prefer to stay away from those. The wheels are 7" wide, but Tire Rack claims the stock 175/65 fit fine. I have one wheel and have installed one of my old summer tires, and it seems fine to look at. Combination of wheel/tire weight is 27.5 lbs. Waiting to be able to afford the rest of the wheels. When the old tires wear out, I'll get some wider tires- I'll try to come up with a size that comes close to the stock diameter.

I am seeing about 1-2 mpg loss. Last tank was 53.2 one before that 54.3. I was around 55 before the tire change. The new tires are LRR as were the 185 snow tires I had on prior to these. With the stock tires I was probably closer to 56-58 mpg.

10mm spacers did the trick no more rubbing at full lock. Required longer wheel studs which came with the spacers.

Prius-C-after-lowering,-2.jpg Just finished installing my Tanabe NF-210 lowering springs. The car is now .8 lower in front, 1.2 in back, which perfectly matches Tanabe's claims. The car is not too low (have yet to touch bottom), it is just right and looks sexy. The car also handles great, kind of gokart-y, and there are no funny sounds. It actually seems to ride better in most situations, except on big hits, where it is marginally stiffer. Still very good over washboard ripple bumps like we have here in the mountains, and the wheels follow the bumps well. It was a super-easy installation, and I had zero problems, except for having picked up the wrong type spring compressor, which I soon resolved. Prior to the springs, I had already installed a Whiteline rear bar and the Kosei R5 15" x 7' wheels shown here. I am very, very pleased with the results, and I am happy I did it. Here are some pics.
