I put the front seat covers on myself, Mar 16th. See here: Clazzio - Front installed! | PriusChat

Today we again had 50 degrees and sun (we've had 2 other 50 degree days with downpours), so I had a neighbor come and help me with the rear. We took 2.5 hours, no issues, we got it DONE!

This is what it looks like in the rear, with the bench out. Mine was covered with sand and leaves (thanks to dogs) so I had to vacuum.

The seat was quite easy to remove. I did not realize, you are only removing a foam piece, very light weight.

We worked together on the wider seat back, and at the end I started the middle console/arm rest piece and he finished it. Other than that, we worked independently. He handled unbolting the middle seat belt and the seat belt holders, and putting those back after, and he handled the single seat back. I did the bench and the 3 head rests. That middle one drove me nuts, I could not figure out which end was UP!

    All back together:

    Looks fantastic!

Reading various threads on here, no one liked those side pieces, and with 4 dogs in and out constantly I figured they wouldn't stay in place long, so for now I did not bother with them.

Dog hammock and seat belt tethers back in place.

My neighbor was quite impressed with these Clazzios. And we both agree, Carmine looks like a completely different car!

Nice work! Did your kit come with the cover material for the outsides of the rear seat backs.? Really not a big deal as it looks great, but if you have them they are just a tuck-fitted item around those pillars. And I don't see any snow on the ground! Woohoo for you guys out East!

Yes, I have them. And with 4 dogs jumping in and out constantly (at least twice a day) I can't see a 'tuck fit' staying in place. I read in other threads that folks found them to be a nuisance, so for now I have left them off.

Yep, snow melted here in RI. Crocuses are in bloom in my front yard!

    Thanks!

Difficult? No, just very TIME Consuming. Front was just me, 2.5 hours. Rear was 2 of us, 2.5 hours. Total of 7.5 hours work. Glad I did it in 2 days, glad I had help the second day (just someone else to mutter to ha haaa). Could I have done it alone? Yes. But he knew which screwdriver, which socket wrench, I would have tried a few to find the right one -- more time. Actually, I hadn't thought of a socket set, I had an adjustable wrench ready for that step.

And, it is easier if you have some power (muscle) to move the leather down and out. I don't have much, he handled that bit easily. (Wish he'd been available when I did the front only for that reason!) We both agreed an upholstery shop likely has some sort of heat gun to make the leather more supple and easier to work with.

The only tricky part was the very first step, as I said in the thread for the front. Nowhere had I seen the sort of clips I have under the front seats, holding the fabric covers in place. I'd only seen the photo with it all one long piece of elastic, wrapped around a metal "T" shaped bar. But now you have MY photos of that he hee.

If you live in the north / northeast, don't order them in September! They arrived first week of February and I had to wait SIX WEEKS for warm weather to put them on!!! So annoying to have them sitting staring at me from the box, in between trips outside to cope with snow!

Looks good. I have the clazzio seat covers in my rig and they fit like a glove. Quality of the leather is superb.
