    Hello out there!

My first post but have been a member for some time. I have a 2010 Prius with 104k miles and I just replaced the spark plugs today. As soon as I put everything back together and gave her a test run, I remembered the PCV valve...

My question is, where exactly is it and would someone please post a pic? I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow AM (They're open on Sundays from 9-1) to pick one up. Removing all the covers, cowling, etc. isn't too bad (about 10 minutes now that I know what I'm doing). Thanks in advance!

    Patrick

Sorry...I do have the GEN II Service Manual currently loaded. While I do have the GEN III material (which is likely similar), someone else might better provide the specifics you need for your application.

Just diving in is probably as good a course as any. You'll likely have to pull up the hatch floor. If it's like 3rd gen, there's some tenacious fasteners. Makes you think you've missed a bolt or something.

OR - remove the under body and remove it like that. I removed the plastic from under, unclipped the hose with my finger and used a wrench to remove it. Took about 10 minutes total time.

Judging by the content, I think that was from a poster who paid too much attention to the thread title and thought it was still about the PCV valve. :)

As far as the service manual, the sure-fire place to look is techinfo.toyota.com.

Watch this video on taking out a HV battery, it'll show you how to take everything out........if you are just doing the fan, just do the right half of the car and do not continue to anything else. You should have all your information before the 5:00 mark of the video.

The car itself is not a bad teacher, too. If you just take it slow and logical, keep your parts sorted, you'll get there.

My response was to the actual PCV in the engine bay, not to anything doing with the rear of the vehicle.
