can anyone knows if we can just buy the trunk antenna for our Smartkey remote so we don't need to press the remote when holding a lot of bags from groceries, I saw some prius trunk antenna online for prius, maybe it just need to plug and install, anyone knows?

As explained in the owner's manual, you can easily adjust the SKS system to unlock all doors (including the hatch) when you touch the driver's door handle. You wouldn't have to buy or install anything. That way you wouldn't need to press the remote button to get into the cargo hold, although you'd have to walk to the driver's door first.

    I don't understand.
Pretty sure that those two things have nothing to do with each other; antenna and Smartkey operation.

If you read the thread I linked above, then you would understand what the OP is asking for.

The antenna being referenced isn't the radio antenna, it's an antenna for smart key SKS detection.

Yes, it will unlock "with fob in pocket and hand on" the handle on the outside of the driver's door, IF you set it to do so, per instructions in the 2011 owners manual. (The default setting is that only the driver's door will unlock when you grip the handle.)

When I approach the car on my bicycle with the fob buried in a bag on the bike, that change in setting saves me having to either fish out the fob, or unlock the driver's door, open the door, press the rocker switch on the armrest, then close the door in order to unlock the hatch.

You can learn a lot by reading.

correct, but that is not what the o/p is asking. he wants to walk up to the hatch with an armful of groceries, and unlock it. not walk to the driver door to unlock, and then walk to the hatch. that is a good alternative though.

Yes, that method does require a short walk, but eliminates the need to dig out the fob and fumble with it with arms full of groceries, or deal with the rocker switch on the inside of the driver's door. On any Prius, as far as I know, you still have to get one hand at least semi-free to press the release button and lift the hatch.

the ultimate solution is Ford's wave-your-foot-to-open gimmick.

Or just smash the hatch glass. They you don't EVER have to open it. Redneck solution. ;)

OK, I think this is becoming clear......maybe.
[Now to go back and read the link you gave.]

Maybe everyone responding to this thread should go back and look at the other thread. ;)
The whole job requires a lot more than just an antenna and only applies to certain older models.

While the option change is good for most newer models, that does NOT apply to the older ones that were designed to do only the drivers door.

The antenna is the one that detect the Smartkey remote.

Can anyone tell me how to and just it? Maybe this is the cheapest alternative, and by the way I already threw my manual away, I never read them anyways, so for those who knows how to adjust please let me know.

Why would you throw the manual away?

The manuals can be downloaded from the Toyota.com website.

If memory serves me correctly. This procedure will toggle between the door sensor on the driver's door unlocking only the driver's door, and unlocking all doors/hatch.

1: Put car in accessory mode (foot off brake and press Start button once) .

2: Press and hold lock and unlock buttons at the same time on your key fob until you hear a beep (or beeps).

3: Press Power button to turn off vehicle.

Thanks for the help it works and testing it I found out that you do not need to turn ON the Car Power, you just need to come to the car, lock or not as long as you are near the driver's door you just need to press the Unlock and Lock on the Smartkey remote and watch the screen on the dash from the out side of the car it will show all 4 doors opened on the dash display, and if you do it again it will show only the driver's door opened.
