Any way to reset when low gas warning comes on?

What happens if I ignore the gas gauge in any car?

Or neglect the anti-freeze? The tire pressure? To change the air filter? The tire tread depth?

None are items that I want to let get down to the bitter end because they get expensive, inconvenient or fatal.

And sensors do fail. So I have to ask myself does this gauge reading make sense and be mindful of the general nature of things and know how long I've been running approximately so I'm sure to fill up.

 

I enjoyed this thread. I once had a Lincoln with distance to empty. It indicated I had one mile left as I pulled into a gas station--and shut down just as I reached the tank. That car meant what it said! Glad to know my Prius fudges to give me a little extra warning.
