Is there any way to mod the Prius ECU to hold the brake then release when you step on gas pedal? It will help a lot in traffic jam. I drove a 2015 Mercedes C350 with that feature and really love it. But when I tried it on my 2010 Prius, it only holds 3s.

I seem to remember driving some earlier Subaru Outbacks (sponsored event cars) that also held until gas was applied. But the Gen3 Prius times out quickly, gas or not, and I haven't heard of a workaround.

While not quite as convenient, N works; so does the parking brake.

Those cars with an electric parking brake will auto-release with throttle.......but I don't think any of the Prii have that.

you'd be the first afaik, so if you're not capable, i can't think of a way to pull it off.

CPROAudio can spoof the speed sensor for the navigation controls, and the temperature sensor can be spoofed to bypass the warm up cycle, so maybe the timeout feature on the brake release can be overriden/spoofed as well?
