Prius Plus Ground Effects Kit

Call you local dealers parts dept, you may be surprised at the cost. I was, i checked with my dealer and the list was less than $ 1000.00 painted. I just never ended up doing a kit because Im already scraping the front lip daily in the 2 parking lots i have to use for work

So there is definitely no kit for the 2010-2011 models. The front air dams from the 2012 won't fit the older bumper. I want to get a kit and just use the sides and rear on my car and sell the front air dams in winter gray. They would be pre-painted and fit a 2012 of course. Right now I'm still considering doing this, but if anyone is interested in buying the front air dams please PM me, I would be more willing to pull the trigger on the whole thing.

There is a PPP kit for the 2010-2011 Prius

 

I know they showed a kit at the 2010 SEMA show, and I've seen at least one member's car on here that that had the front air dams on it, but from online searches and contacting dealers, it doesn't seem to be available. I'm sure that the springs and the wheels are compatible on both the 2012+ and the 2010-2011, but its the lip kit I'm looking to buy. Side skirts and rear bumper are fine, but I saw in another thread that the front air dams are slightly different. If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

 

I posted pics showing a 2012 front bumper lip up against a 2011 bumper.

I'll be making trip to my dealer so I'll look into getting part numbers for u.

 

Thanks, much appreciated. If I can only the find the 2012+ kit, I'm thinking about ordering it, selling the front air dams, and buying just the 5axis front lip. I'm not sure how it would look though because I'm assuming the front will end up looking lower than the rest of car. Other option would be to just get the entire 5axis kit but the price is up there and the kit just seems too aggressive for a car the like the Prius.

 

Here is a part # for 2011 prius plus body kit PT938-47100-11. I did get a price quote from this website (www.mytoyotawarehouse.com) and the price was $859.00 plus $25.00 shipping. This is the cheapest place I found for prius plus kit 2010/11. Dealer in phoenix wanted to charge me 1050.00 for the kit and 550 for install plus tax. what a ripoff

 

I had no idea they drilled holes into the bumper! If I had known this I would have never got the kit... I was planning on taking it off sooner or later. WOW!

Yeah, once it's on, there is no removing it before selling/ trading the prius

Yeah, this is why I didn't go for it. If you ever need to replace one of the parts, like if you hit a curb or have an accident, it would be a pain to get a replacement. I don't think body shops could even obtain it for you very easily.

The stock bumper covers/parts on the other hand are much easier to obtain.

Not to mention the fact that the stock Prius already has some 'ground effects' that are pretty darn low already.

 

Actually each piece of the PPP kit can be bought from the dealer however it comes unpainted.

Yes if you get the complete kit. If you buy them seperately they come unpainted.

 

Hey guys,

Some idiot in Venice hit my car and managed to take off my left front bumper spoiler. Does anyone have a lead on where I can get a replacement? The mounting piece is still on my car (luckily). I would just need to get that one piece and snap it back in. If I have to order a complete set of left and right bumper spoilers then I will.

Any help would be awesome.

It looks like you can find individual pieces from the kit on Amazon.

I couldn't find the part numbers at the various Toyota parts look-up sites.

 

There's a member on here I was talking to last year that can get individual pieces from the kit painted or not painted. Jus trying remember who it was!? haha

 

Send a message to @Priusmpg I believe he can get the individual pieces painted or unpainted at a decent price
