Hi everyone! I bought 2012 Prius v about a month ago. While test driving the vehicle the left rear seat (40% of 60/40 split) was sliding on the track just fine. Since bringing it home we noticed it does not slide at all. We have tried everything we know to do. My husband has climbed in the back and pushed with his feet while I have held up the lever. Of note, one other person test drove it while we were in finance.

Does anyone have any ideas why this seat would not be sliding as it should? Perhaps they pushed it too far back on the track? Any ideas how to fix it?

Thank you! I am absolutely loving my Prius so far!

Sounds like something for the dealer to look at. Be aware that there are separate release levers for each side of the seat.

welcome and congrats! i think you're going to have to look underneath with a flashlight and see if something is caught in the track and release mechanism.

I would bet there is something jammed in the seat track(s).

Cool that the rear seats slide (or should). Whenever ours jamb it's a dropped coin in the tracks.

Yep have the dealer find out what the other test drivers did to it and check the tracks for coins or other things obscuring the path. And congradulations and good luck hope yours doesn't come pre-equipt with mousedoors like ours did

Where is the lever, is it on the side of the seat or down under the front ?

The slide forward and back lever is a bar in aluminum down low in front of the rear seats. Each section of the rear seats has one. The slide is about 4-5 inches.
