Very nice! Can you tell me what the maximum depth of the tire tools tray is? I am currently deployed (not able to measure it myself) and trying to plan it out. Need to know how deep it is from the bottom grey tray up to the foldable/removable cover in the trunk. Thanks!

Didn't check measurements yet. But I will when I do more sound proofing of the hatch area.

Did this, over the weekend. All cheap DIY soundproofing material found at the local Canadian Home depot.

Used a BlueSkin a self-adhered membrane consisting of an SBS rubberized asphalt compound used as a water barrier. This is what i used as a alternate for some of the more well known sound dampeners. I also lined the inside door panel or outer shell with the 'diamond plated' foam mat. I used this as well as an additional dampening on top of the BlueSkin. All in all, I can't tell a huge difference yet in Sound dampening ( which is the usual consensus for sound dampening on the doors alone) But I've only done the rear doors and still need to finish the front doors as well as the rear hatch area. However, even though sound dampening hasn't been noticeable yet, Mid-bass was drastically improved. I'm guessing the plastic wrap they used on the door from the factory did little to no good for helping sound quality.

Will update when I have more to show.

This is a custom sub box I made for the 2004-2009 Prius model hatchback. Designed for a shallow or standard regular 10" subwoofer. Loud bass and you still have your cargo room and access to the battery. Toyota Prius 06-09 Front.jpg Toyota Prius Trunk Full View.jpg

Nice! I've always wanted to attempt some fiberglass work. I'm sure it weighs next to nothing. I may redo my heavy 3/4 MDF box and do a majority of its framework in fiberglass. The (2) 8" JBLs pound in this sealed enclosure.

More pictures of my sound deadening..

amazing factory sound deadening material... not so much...

All plastic and wiring removed - metal prepped
    [IMG]

Foam material added to outer shell

    BlueSkin a self-adhered membrane

Cutting board material used for the speaker mount - more weather/moisture resistant than MDF wood.

After I did all the doors...again... just want to reiterate how much the Mid bass was drastically improved. Sound deadening - not so much, it didn't really reduce road noise. Prob will see more improvement of reduced db after i do the rear hatch of the car. :)
