Swapped out the front door speakers today.

I used the stock speakers as mounts, which required trimming them so they're about 5mm shallower depth in order for the door panel to fit with these new speakers.
This vibrating "multi-purpose" cutter made short work of that task. Took about 30 seconds to do what would have taken me 30 minutes with the dremel.

The new speakers are RF R169x3 and they sound great together with the new dash speakers.

I could fit four fingers between the tire and fender. Now I've got about one finger.

Nice! Did you have to solder anything?

I used the wires inside the stock speakers - I soldered female speaker connectors to the stock wires so they'd plug into the new speakers. Those wires are an uncovered copper braid, so I also slipped heatshrink tubing over them before soldering the connectors on.

Search the audio forum here too. There are a couple of posts in there with more info and pics on hacking the stock speakers to use them as mounts.
Honestly, it's probably easier to just use Metra mounts and wiring adapters. I just like fabbing stuff (or maybe a glutton for punishment)

Installed my SAMs club cheapie seat covers, they were a bit baggy until I pulled them up tight and used the headrest stems as locking pins, now they actually don't look too bad. A little bagginess on the rear top but nothing to get to upset about, especially for $20. Bummer part, no back seat matching set as far as I know, oh and the head rest cover was completely not usable... again $20, you get what you pay for some times. Slipped a set of washers on to hide ugly cut hole. Also I have wheel cover coming in dark gray with the same stitching , so should look good when its all set up.. Hopefully.

Ok wheel covers are off. Wheels are in good shape, a couple of scuffs here and there, but nothing distracting. Got a set of caps for the hubs, local Toyota dealer fleeced me but I do like giving my local business some love when I can. They look a bit shiny compared to the wheel so I might try some satin clear Krylon.

Got some of that shelf/drawer material at JoAnn's fabrics, with coupon only 4 bucks! Made every possible surface non skid!! They had it in this dark charcoal gray/black, very cool. Even the cup holders were lined. I gently tacked it down with double stick foam pads cut very small. This was a fun easy thing and now my phone no longer slides around in the tray.. Also helps with coins rattling about in the little tray in the arm rest.

    Looks sexy. :)

It looks like it's pretty close to the plastic piece under the bumper? Make sure it's not too close or touching, I've seen some pictures of melted plastic before, it ain't pretty.

Yeah...it's a lot of clearance actual, but from the side view it seems really close but it's not. I had the Yaris stainless steel tip before it's even closer than this flowmaster version. I posted it in the for sale forum see anyone want to buy it. For Sale - Stainless steel tailpipe tip ($30) shipped. | PriusChat I like this flowmaster tip...it's heavy gauge and nicely polish from the factory.

Love it! Did this too on mine. Also pulled this upper box and lined up the surrounding exterior w/sound deadener so when I put something in it doesn't rattle loud enough to annoy me, lol!
