I see Jeff Cobb's asterisk by BMW i3 means that we do not know PHEV/BEV split ...how do we get that? eg; for2014, and 1Q15?

I can do longer do PHEV calcs (% in CA etc) if I do not know how to split i3 sales. Alls I can do is see how far off I am from electrivedrive.org data for PHEV sales and assume the error is the i3 split. For kicks I am trying to estimate the make-up of the 70000 green hov stockers in CA to see if that helps to understand CA sales eg for PiP

ooh April was not as good as I thought for plug-ins, I hope hybrids did better. PiP like 409

Not as good as I hoped for hybrid, but not so bad. YTD Prius is down 9% from last year, but if you substract out PiP whcih was stellar last Jan-May the hybrid Prius is only down maybe 4%. Also crude oil prices headed back up as people already consuming more...hold on to the Prius!

My $1 gaso prediction not looking too good at the moment. I still got 10 months to be right on it.

Here are some calcs from me...I got hybrids exceeding 25% and Plug-Ins 50% in CA for 2014 Hybrids Plug Ins 2014.jpg

Here is a wild guess at CA PHEV HOV green sticker population thru 1st Quarter 2015.
Mostly Volts PiPs and Fords CA HOV Green Estimates.jpg
**The BMW i3 is estimated split to PHEV

So here's an outcome I see: About 40% of all US PHEV sales to date have CA green HOV stickers

Pick ups have always been big sellers for Ford and GM. The F150 actually dropped a little from last April.
As for the other Light Truck vehicles being sold, there isn't much point worrying over people returning to FSPs. Most of the gains were with the smaller, more efficient models. The Silverado gained 7.5%, compared to the Equinox and Rogue climbing 40+%. The Rav4 climbed 21.7%. The minivans will also be in the Light Truck group.

Ford is selling the F150 as fast as they can make them, and outselling Chevy in the US. Very new model, ramp up in factory production.

With the cutting of weight, the new F150 with V8 gets the same EPA rating as the old one with the 3.5 Ecoboost.
