    hello prius faithfuls!!

wanted to pick your brains about a possible purchase of mine. Looking around at different options ive found a couple here. the 5 has every option i want but its a 2010....ive heard the battery packs fail after 10 yrs. i know you all get these questions. sorry for the repetition. would it be a bad idea to go with the 2010 with all the options i want or would the 2013 prius one...bare bones be the wiser decision? thanks for your time!!

untrue about the battery. the lifespan is unknown, and every pack is different, probably based on the drivers and climates. hard to say which is wiser, the difference is your paying for all the bells and whistles on the '10. i would go with the '13, but i'm not a bells and whistles kind of guy. i would rather have a newer car with less than an older with more. wiser? in the eye of the beholder. all the best!(y)

Seems like the 13 is a safer buy, good luck
