Has anyone been able to figure out how to make the back-up camera come on sooner once you put the car in reverse? We find we have a little bit of delay. Any help appreciated-- thanks!

The primary delay I see is when the car and MFD are booting up, and there is little hope of improving this.

When I shift later, the delay is far shorter. But when just trying to back the car out of the garage on EV without igniting the ICE, with intent of reparking, this boot-up delay does severely eat into the available EV time before the ICE automatically starts up.

Ours is in the rear view mirror: I've not noticed a lag. Maybe you've got the larger nav screen version, it takes longer to "boot"? To be fair I don't pay much attention to it, it's so wide angle I don't trust it.

Yes, the problem is only with the initial reverse when I am backing out of the garage. The "Toyota" splash screen takes approx. 7 seconds or so. So we would need to find a way to not load the splash screen at the initial start-up.

I think there is more than simply the splash screen being loaded. If the radio was left on too loud after the last trip, I will discover it at powerup and want to shut if off immediately, but the audio controls are also nonfunctional for several seconds. That is why it seems like a bootup time issue, not just a splash logo display issue.

it's amazing that the car goes into reverse so quickly, but nothing else works.

Yes, but like with any device, if you eliminate the splash screen this typically reduces the boot-up time.

The backup camera on rear view mirror seems to come up fast. I'll try to remember to watch it closely, next start up. I can't recall any delay though, maybe because that's all it displays? It's handy location too.

Back into your garage/parking space. ;)

Then no problem when you leave. :D
