Well, almost, but not quite. Aaaaaargh!!

Just couldn't get myself to shoot for "600", due to time, and a bit of fear of running out of gas. Painful to get so close, but I'm determined to do it this year.

    No Gas...No Go....

I think you were wise to NOT push it.

But in a passive aggressive dichotomy, I'm also going to say.....

If I was that close? I would of gone for it.

The fillup, up to the pump shutoff, was 9.917 gals. I could have done it. Of course that transalted into 57.8 gals, whicn is really not 60, but who's counting. :)

In hindsight, which is always 20/20 I'm told, I should have gone for it. If I have the same numbers appearing again I'll seriously consider it. But I'll still be a bit leery, even thought it was only 28 miles away.

That's why we have jerry cans. Just buy a gas can with a long spout
that won't leak and you can push it as far as you want. If you are
really close just look for a long hill that you can descend...

I never get that far in km's. But then, my criteria is to make damn sure it's me that fills it, that's all.

Your picture doesn't show the most important part: the gasping fuel gauge. :)

Yeah, the gauge was definitely gasping, although, according to the readout I still had about 5 miles left around 545 miles. Managed to get about 550 before it started flashing.
