i get to pick her up tomorrow morning! One minor glitch...the fob wont open the door with just touching the handle and it wont start the car unless its in the hole. Just a battery issue? I hope! Or i read theres some button under the steering wheel? She is an 07 seaside pearl tan leather interior 94k miles. :) wanted to tell yall thanks for all the help! I'm legit a member now!!!

Sounds like you got yourself a prius 1, base model. That car doesn't have SKS door or keyless ignition functions.

Really? It has the button on handle and has Bluetooth and nav with leather. But...if so, I'll still be happy with it. ;)

oh in that case.....you need to change your fob batteries.

How do you lock and unlock the car? Does the light on the fob light up when you press a button? Did you get a 2nd fob?

There is a button under the steering wheel that deactivates the ska (so it doesn't run down the battery when the car will not be driven for several days).

Pressing the button under steering did allow me to start the car without the key in slot but still not opening the door by pressing the button on the handle. It just beeps but doesn't unlock...hmmm. Thanks!

The button on the handle locks the door only. To open, you just reach for the handle and you'll hear it open

Congratulations! We just bought a 2007 Prius with 101,000 miles for a work car. My husband and son do a lot of driving. I am currently driving it until my Prime comes in. :)
