This is great info. I just made one and it took about 15 minutes. I sanded a slight curve to accommodate the shape of the dashboard.

No way I was paying $35 plus shipping to Canada for the plastic visor sold here.

    Hey @Markee

I used velcro to stick it to the dash initially so I could remove it easily. However after a hot summer, I removed this mod. Reason for was because the velcro would get so hot after parked in the sun the glue would start to smudge and eventually the visor would just fall.

Good visor mod, but need a better attachment method.

What material did u use ? How does it stay in cd drive slot ?

    Thanks
    KA

It does a decent job of keeping direct sunlight off the screen from all but the lowest angles, even without "wings". My scrap piece happened to be charcoal / maroon so I didn't even need to color it to blend in nicely with the dash materials.

Hey, it's nothing fancy, but it does the job and you can't hardly beat the price![/QUOTE]

I recently redesigned mine. I cut some pieces of cardboard to the shape of the CD slot and sandwiched 2 together for a snug fit. I then added a full length top to it that molds to the section above the slot and radio dials. Probably not a big concern, but I used cardboard rather than plastic to lessen the danger in an accident. Since it works, when we get home from vacation, I think I'll get some foam from Hobby Lobby or somewhere for a better appearance.
