Will this work with a 4G LTE Hotspot?

Hey guys, I registered specifically just so I can say thank you to everyone involved in this thread. I have been looking for something like this and am in the process of ordering it from Eric Chen. Maybe I'll post some updates as it comes and I install it, but I at least wanted to say thank you for the wealth of information I found here.

@Rhinoruns Did you pull your unit over the weekend to verify that it was the 3 plug? I'm also ordering for a 2010 Prius Two no JBL version and wanted to know if it was in fact the 3 plug version. Thanks.

My unit is on its way, Eric has been updating me with pics! I also had him add in a front dashcam/DVR for $20 extra. I'll also be using a TaoTronics license plate frame camera with this unit. I've been driving around my prius with the dash apart and the rear cam wired up ready to go. Just have to pop the new unit in and I'll be ridin' nerdy :)

Hey guys, my 4 connector cable will be in soon and just wanted to offer my unit for sale. It will have both the 3 and 4 connector cable.

I might be buying a truck soon, so doesn't make sense to install this unit.
It is obviously never been installed.

    Pm me if interested

I was thinking about it as well due to incomplete install and still waiting for that fricken harness. I almost just hit it with a mason. I have lost my interest with this mod. Should have just bought some coilovers instead of this. My nexus 7 with a holder made a perfect alternative with this mod. I have waisted so much time and should have taken some overtime at work.

I ordered it from amazon. TaoTronics TT-CC17

It was on sale for $25 when I bought it. Installation isn't too difficult, just have to pop the rear tailgate plastic and some of the back plastic panels holding the headliner. I routed the power cable and video cable into the the rubber wire hose at the top of the hatch and ran it to the side down to tap into the reverse taillight harness. The yellow video cable can be routed to the front several different ways but I chose to route it from the left side of the headliner and top interior headliner molding, was JUST long enough. Took me about 30-40 minutes.

I installed my unit and I'm overall really happy with it. It's speedy for the specs and the screen is clear. I haven't played too much with it yet, but tethering my phone for data connection works great for using GPS and running internet radio. The DVR/dashcam setup works flawlessly!

I've noticed 2 issues though. Sometimes my radio channels will become very staticy/garbled out of nowhere. The fix is to press the power button to turn the screen off and on again. I'm not sure why this is happening, maybe the antenna is loose..I'll have to double check the connection again. The second issue is the bluetooth connection. If I'm running navigation and streaming bluetooth audio at the same time, the streaming audio becomes choppy at times. I'm thinking it's an interference or memory issue.

Overall I love the unit, it's extremely unique and convenient to have it in the Prius. Way more functional than what Android Auto will be when released in new cars soon. Puts the factory nav unit to shame.
