Do I have to replace that Cabin Filter!

    Schedule aside, filter maintenance seems like an as-needed item, depends a lot on locality, dust in the air.

    Same filter, but the solar ventilation adds a lot more operating time. My current Prius with the solar ventilation gets this filter dirty much faster than my 2010 unit without the solar vent. It needs to be removed and shaken out occasionally.

    okay, but why not replace sooner? or, why replace the non solar so soon?

    That's the conundrum. The fan demand is assumed higher, the inspection intervals shorter, yet the replacement interval is longer.

    Depends where you live, but cabin filters need replacement more often than engine. Had to replace one just after 20Kmi, but that was after 10K trip to Cali.
