I just got a 2012 (Small v) black fully loaded. I want to do some mods on the lighting and electrical .
The largest first though will be moving the exhaust outlet to the center of the bumper. I researched the burning problem the power boys have with melting bumpers so found a porsche guard in England which I hope to modify into the bumper. The JPS tips are dual titanium which I want to be exposed a bit. Snaking the exhaust will prove a bit difficult. Ive drawn it out and it is 18 inches center to center with 7 inches clearance between the spare tire well and the bumper. A three inch radius on some preformed mandrel bends might work but anyone else have any experience with out a huge cost from Japan Mods?.

I had a flat (rectangular) exhaust tip welded to my exhaust. Looks better than the Plain Jane OEM spout.

It's the little things that spruce up my v like that exhaust tip, shark fin antenna, CREE LED driving lights, ENKIE wheels, rear bumper lights (replacing the reflectors) and the fog lights.

Sure, soccer moms will be oblivious to these things but some men will notice and the mechanics at my dealer see them as well as my underbody braces, sway bar, strut tower bar and cold air intake and they are impressed. But it's always the ENKIE wheels that gets their attention first.

Just tried to buy wheel locks from O'Riley parts and it would tighten down without snugging the rim. Wrong model, took them back.Worked on putting old loud VW horns on it but need to set up better wiring first.

I had a good exhaust man weld these on.
Id' bought two1 3/4 "J" pipes with 30 degree bends from Summit racing, but he only used one. $22.00 each.
He charged me $42.50 to put them on with a hanger.
They are out a little more than I would have liked but it was tight. He would've had to modify the whole group of tips.

That exhaust pipe sure did have to take quite a detour. Did someone always want a Jaguar E-type with its center pipes? I may need extensive counseling to get over seeing this.

That is the spare tire well. It has foam inserts which hold all the tools and safety stuff.

My first love car. XKE. Had a friend who bought one which got me over it. I was able to drive it some. It was NEVER 100 percent. Always stuff going wrong. Fun but an expensive pain.

    Those are pre-blued exhaust tips?

Ok I bought some LED's to put in the front turn signals to supplement DDL's.
Took out the fixtures. Two screws top and bottom. Pop off wires from two holders on fixture. I decided to work from the bottom and my hand would go in the hole to set up the wiring. The green wire off the DDL's feeds the positive side of LED's remember they are diodes and are polarity sensitive. The white with gray trace is negative. I would have used brighter than the ones I put in.
Drilled out the black covered bottom mounts. That allowed the led's to be inserted. They had glue strip on them but to improve it, I put in a contact type glue with my finger on the inside and ran it along where it would be attached. I used the turn signal bulb hole to do it. Once in and attached i pressed it in place with my finger and sealed it up with silicon running the wires along the bottom.
I used one tap off the DDL to feed both lights running wire along the inside of the grill.
Buttoned it up and it works fine, I used wire ties to keep it clean and silicon on the connector ends.

Certainly looks better than my black, rectangular exhaust tip (see my mod photos). But it sure is much more involved as well.

I like the idea of a tip shield for the plastic bumper cover B/C I'm cutting my wife's 2015 Elantra Ltd. bumper cover for an oval exhaust tip. I'll try to find a shield for it or make one.

They are in after a bit of hassle with where to tap the lines. Finally did using trailer connectors off the left tail light. They look great. No directions. The color code is all their own.
The rear red and blue badge light came today so that's next. I spent yesterday wiring the dash cam to the headliner map light assembly. Not ideal as it doesn't go off with a switch but to run a wire up through the a post is still a little daunting. The eight inch power cord is so much better than the Cigarette lighter plug dangling though.
