    Hey Guys,

I just purchased an 05 Prius about a week ago and love it.
I can honestly say I thought I would never own one in a million years.

It's not because of it has a stigma of being slow or green. It's just the electric motor and battery that deterred me away from the car.

After tons of research, I noticed how in expensive these cars can be for maintenance. The brakes never go out. The car has a timing chain. The serpentine belt is pretty accessible and the size of a super model's G string. The motor is pretty bullet proof as long you keep it maintained. Also replacing the battery if it ever goes bad, doesn't seem hard at all to access.

After learning all of this, buying an 05 Prius with 130K miles doesn't sound too bad at all.
