New (to me) Prius 2005 owner here. Push-to-start works great when the key is in my pocket, but the car does not start when the key is inserted into the ignition slot. I do, however, hear a quiet clicking noise. I did a quick search of the forums and did not see a similar problem. Any thoughts?

I've just got the one key and would like to buy a new one an program w/ the "chicken dance". But I'm not sure I can if my ignition slot isn't working...

    Thanks!

I am having the same problem with my Prius key/key slot. Why does it do that? I've tried pressing the key button underneath the steering wheel but that doesn't help.

I'm having the same issue with a 2005 that I bought used.
With SKS on and the key in my pocket it will start.
With SKS on or off and the key in the key holder, it will NOT start.
