Hi. I'm in the process of installing Koni FSD struts and TRD lower springs. While I was disassembling the strut assembly, I forgot to put marks on the strut mounts. Now I can see there is a Green Dot on the mounts but they are same identical parts meaning if one side the Green Dot points outside, the other side will be point the inside. In the past, I've installed strut mounts improperly and it ended up the struts were making crazy clunking noise. Now I really don't wanna screw up again, but stupid me didn't learn my lesson and forgot to put marks. If someone happen to know the proper line up for these mounts, please tell me. Big THX.

I looked at the Toyota repair manual which does not provide guidance about the strut mount needing to be oriented in a particular direction. So I would put the top nut on somewhat loosely, enough to hold the strut mount in place when the spring compressors are removed. Then mount the strut in the car, rotating the strut mount as needed to fit the three holes in the coil tower while the bottom of the strut is oriented to fit the steering knuckle.
