    …not that I wish to rain on your parade, but it's my experience based on 45 years of experience in the electronics industry, and on my many years of being a licensed Amateur Radio Operator, that when it comes to antennae, size really does count, and this was born out when I asked another engineer, someone whose opinion I value, who happened to have a Prius (his second I believe) and had tried one of those oh-so-kewl looking antennas and when I asked his opinion, he said that it was expensive, and really the performance wasn't better, if anything it was worse, and he reminded me to read up on Basic Antenna Theory! (…but he is (…or was (…he's retired now) a Rocket Scientist, although YMMV! ;))

    I agree that performance wise it's not a big improvement. The accessory is more for an upgraded look. Thanks for chiming in.
