    My new 2015 Prius when park pawl engage/disengage has the loud sound.
    Would this be right?

    To ease up on the "park pawl" (it's a gear actually), when you park, BEFORE you shut down or put the car in "P" FIRMLY apply the "P-brake", THEN put the car in "P" or just turn it off (they do the same thing transmission wise). That should reduce the noise you hear.
