In all of the paperwork you filled out at the dealer you may have one you initialed stating you declined the plate hardware being installed. Just let them know you didn't understand that it is required by law and if they would accomodate the installation...it's fast and you should be in and out. Plus it's an opportunity for them to stick on their advertisement plate frame so they should be more than happy to hook you up. If you're super friendly you may be able to get them to run your car through the car wash when you're there if you don't mind waiting an extra 15-minutes. I've always had good relationships with my dealerships and you give them respect and good survey ratings and they'll go above and beyond in most cases.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I requested my bumper not be drilled. My car got to me after I signed papers, instead of sitting on the lot. All cars on the lot go through a small inspection and have plates mounted before hitting the floor.

How has that held up in car washes, storms, high speed etc? Looks like it sticks out far. Wonder if something can be cut to push it back further.

I'm so glad PA doesn't require front plates.

Didn't notice this thread got bumped. I never drove with that set up because it simply sticks out way too far

Same issue I had with a tow hook mount on my last car. High winds and car washes knocked it around, causing it to swing down scrapping the bumper.

Got hardcore with mine and remounted with the oem mount but off to the side.lol 20151025_173401.jpg

Plugged the OEM holes with bolts and painted white.
