    2012 Prius Plug-in
    Model:
    Plug-in Advanced
SOLD Price: $230 (For both modules) SOLD
    Condition:
    Used, in excellent condition.
Items: These two modules are installed on a 2013 Prius Hatchback w/7" JBL (please contact Prestigious Society if you have questions regarding fitment of this to other models and years)

Reason for selling: I'm selling because I'm returning my car to stock.
Shipping: Local sales for the sales price. If you would like me to ship this, buyer pays shipping.

I purchased these two items new from Prestigious Society in Jan 2014. The two items are plug and play. No cutting or tapping of wires are needed. You simply need to remove the headunit, unplug the wiring harnesses, plug in the modules, and plug the wiring harnesses back.

This is installed on my 2013 Prius hatchback with JBL 7" HDD Navigation. Please contact Prestigious Society if you have questions regarding fitment/compatibility of this to other models and years.

    Navigation and Video Enhancement Module
"a passive and non-obtrusive OEM vehicle enhancement designed to bypass all the system motion lockouts associated with the factory navigation and entertainment systems. The module allows freedom of accessing navigation system and DVD/Video (entertainment System) by the occupants of the car while the vehicle is in motion.*

    Key features:
      • Enter and edit destinations
      • Enter and edit Points of Interests (POIs)
      • Browse the phone and address book
      • Dial phone numbers on the numeric keypad
      • Browse music folders and playlists from MP3 discs and/or HDD audio sources.
      • Access Infotainment System (i.e. Bing, Pandora, OpenTable and etc.)
Features and controls that are normally available when your vehicle is in the “Park” position become available while the vehicle is in motion, when the module is activated. The DVD/Video enhancement features built into our module are designed to enable video playback for passengers. If your vehicle is equipped with factory or aftermarket DVD/Video option, the DVD/Video enhancement will unlock the video controls on the center console screen while the vehicle is in motion"

As mentioned above, the combination is pressing the volume controls +, +, -, - consecutively. To consistently activate/deactivate the lockout feature I usually press +,+,+,-,-. I have found that the first press of + isn't instantly recognized by the system

    Mobile Entertainment Integration System (MEIS-TAVI)
"The system replaces factory “AUX” input and displays “AV” or “VTR” input on the factory system. The audio/video input directs external portable devices and enables video streaming from a portable device (i.e. iPhone, iPad and other smartphones) or game console via a RCA composite cable to your factory monitor"

DVD is great for road trips for passengers to view but the auxiliary is also great to use if you have a portable DVD/Blu-ray unit or a Roku device. I've used a Roku device frequently on road trips (while using a hotspot mobile device) to stream Hulu, Netflix, Youtube, etc. onto the cars navigation screen.

Pictures: Pictures will be uploaded in the next few days. I will try to remove this item from my car this evening.

    Both of them.

This is a convenient place to route the RCA wires if you want to make them accessible to plug in an Audio/Video device. When you pull up the cup holder trim to install this, there is a little opening at the back of the cup holder. It's big enough to slide the RCA jacks into there.

You can either route them above or under the door, whichever is your preference.
