Since my Prius must be possessed I need to collect data to help the dealer resolve the issue. But the reputable ODB II Bluetooth adapters I have reviewed say they are not compatible with hybrid vehicles. I checked the forum for the Torque app and some persons have reported the Prius going nuts when they connected a device.

Can anyone recommend a model that is compatible? I met the wonderful Scan Gauge folks but I do not see where their device saves data like the Torque app does?

i have bought several obd from amazon and also for my dad since he also have the same prius as i have but an plug in version. Most OBD adapters are compatible with the hybrid car since they run the same protocol. I had no issues at all with either Bluetooth obd or the wifi versions.
One of the bluetooth obd i bought and i can recommend for you that certainly works:
    Amazon.com: Docooler Super Mini V1.5 ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 OBD-II CAN-BUS Diagnostic Scanner Tool: Automotive

    Hope it helps

And it worked perfectly with Torque on my Android phone. The prius went crazy with all warning light, if i turned off the car and on again while the phone is connected to the vehicle while the program was running. Thats what I experienced. So either it would be a good idea to remove the obd from the car when turning the car off, or to exit the torque program if you want to leave the obd in the socket.

Do you own an IPad or IPhone? You can buy a wifi ODB II adapter and buy the EngineLink HD app all for about $25. Here is a picture of my app. You can display it any way you want, and you have about a 100 things you can monitor.
