It does looks promising, for $99 its the same price as an HID kit. It looks like its designed for dual lights. Meaning that it isn't motorcycle specific.

The linked article mounted the LEDs in old reflector type headlights, the Prius uses a projector. The LEDs don't have the point source light source like halogens or an HID arc, which gives a better 360 light distribution. Those circuit boards really get in the way.

Notice the article mentioned that the usable light thrown downroad seemed shorter than halogens, even though the output was definitely brighter, AKA glare to other drivers.

Edit: Whoops, I just noticed this is the Gen 2 forum. Disregard my comment about mounting these LEDs in projectors. I still believe the plug and play LEDs aren't ready for prime time though.

I went to LED headlights a few years ago and was happy in the beginning but the consistent heat during the summer under the hood makes them fail prematurely. Definitely would not suggest them again. The set I was using were the PlasmaGlow Igniters and I RMA'd them 3 times in a little over a year before I finally asked for my money back. Used them in both my T100 pickup and then my Gen 2 when I switched. I would expect these passive cooling models to fail faster under the hood.
